In Defense of (Bad) Fantasy - Part One
The only thing more polarizing than asking a bunch of fans to name the 'best' of their chosen fandom is asking those same fans to name the 'worst' instead. The love of a 'best' book will either spawn a whole lot of emotional gushing, or a painstakingly constructed argument in its defense.
